Get Ready for the SociableOS
Alpha Launch

We're building a platform to enable anyone to make, share, give, trade, buy and sell virtual or real goods, credits and coupons they own with their friends, anywhere, anytime while using any app or device.

If you're a developer read and contribute to v1 of our manifesto or if you're a builder get in touch with our CTO

Join the Movement

For Games

If you make games and want more players, more revenue and more exposure we believe collaborating is the best way to get there Help us build a developer-centric virtual good sharing toolset where collectibles, tradable items, usable objects, aesthetic effects, and actions can be shared across games and applications.

For Retail

SociableOS will be a natural game of sharing, gifting, giving and getting. Brand-based and user-generated coupons, virtual & real goods all act as components of play and interaction.

Local stores can work together to create neighborhood promotions, users can share their favourite discoveries with others by actually giving them discounts or even whole items.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is SociableOS?

SociableOS is an open-source platform we have begun developing that allows developers, businesses, and communities to create, share, and trade virtual and real-world assets across any app or device. It provides tools to integrate interactive features through a universal overlay. It will ultimately be a part of the fediverse in the sense that we hope to integrate the unique protocols for our virtual goods model into something that can communicate and share with a broader group of applications and communities.

What can I do with it?

If your friend Sarah is playing “Farmytown” but you’re playing “Super Sorcerer”. SociableOS will suggest things you can do like “Make it Rain” on her farm so her crops grow faster! In return she might give you a “Spell Power-up”.

Despite being in different apps, you played together and discovered each others’ games. Or a bookstore could offer Sarah a free second-hand book if she spent over $20 at a local coffee shop and she could give it to you in exchange for an apple at the fruit market!

That’s cool but you said real-world too, explain that please?

Yes, that’s because when people look through their phone camera or A/R glasses they will also be able to see a similar overlay that you would on a computer and SociableOS would again suggest interesting items and actions. For example, a small local market in a big city might decide they want to draw more visitors to their area. A bookstore might say that if you buy five books they will “Give you a Coffee” from the nearby coffee shop and the coffee shop might reciprocate by giving you a “10% Off” coupon at the bookshop.

Who can make these actions and items?

Technically, anyone will be allowed to create items, goods, actions, coupons, etc. However, for them to trigger something in an application or at a business, they need to be created by or at least authorized by that app or biz. However, that doesn’t stop any individual from making something and sharing it with a friend, but the same rules apply, those individuals are responsible for the value attached to those objects.

Is SociableOS available now?

We’re in development now but are looking for people interested in this concept who have coding skills to join the movement. Ultimately our goal is to foster a more dynamic and inclusive experience around virtual goods and real-world goods by enabling easy buying, trading, selling and sharing amongst people. We hope you will look at the developer resources on GitHub or reach out to our Chief Engineer if you’re interested.

Who can use SociableOS?

Anyone! From individual developers and small businesses to large corporations, SociableOS is designed to be accessible and useful for all.

Do I need coding skills to use SociableOS?

Not necessarily. While developers can use our SDKs and APIs, we also offer no-code solutions for creating and distributing assets, making it accessible to non-developers as well. For developers we hope you will look at the resources on GitHub or reach out to our Chief Engineer if you’re interested in helping.

How does SociableOS integrate with existing apps?

SociableOS uses a universal overlay technology that allows you to add interactive elements to any app or device without extensive modifications to existing systems. This is the part that will require the most community technology help. If you’re a developer with a game or application, we would love to start working with you to not only put the pieces in place to display SociableOS in your app, but to even help us with the needs and goals you have so that we can build something together that benefits us all.

Is SociableOS secure?

Yes, SociableOS leverages blockchain technology to ensure secure and verifiable transactions and asset management.

How can businesses benefit from SociableOS?

Businesses can use SociableOS to engage customers with interactive promotions, digital coupons, and exclusive content, enhancing customer loyalty and driving sales.

Is SociableOS free to use?

Yes, SociableOS is open-source and free to use. Our goal is to empower communities and developers without financial barriers.

How can I get started with SociableOS?

You can start by visiting our website, downloading our tools, and joining our community forum. We provide documentation and resources for both developers and non-developers.

Can I contribute to SociableOS?

Absolutely! We encourage contributions from the community. You can contribute code, ideas, or feedback through our GitHub repository or community forum.

Where can I get support if I have issues?
